- Created mini websites using HMTL and CSS (remainder of examples below)
- Learned Content Management Systems (CMSs): OmniUpdate & Kentico
- Trained faculty and staff on OmniUpdate & Kentico
- Troubleshooted issues that arose within each CMS
- Created new templates from current CMS designs
- Updated web pages that did not have editors
- Helped users with password reset, HTML code errors, and document compatibility
- Evaluated external code to make sure it was compatible with the CMS and then uploaded it using the HTML makeup of a page (see the bottom code on the Counseling page)
- Created “How-To” PDF’s on Kentico (see How-To Upload Syllabi) and outside websites (see How-To Signup.com)
ACCESSIBILITY Diagnostics
- Used Dinolytics (now Popetech) to evaluate the West Los Angeles College website on accessibility errors
- Pinpointed issues and fixed them (reduced number or errors from thousands to now less than two)
- Used Wave Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool to confirm fixed errors
- Taught faculty and staff on how to edit and fix accessibility issues on their pages
